Lesson 6 - Software Tools

Of all the things that I recommend for writing on Associated Content, Article Architect is the most controversial, and the most asked about. I’m almost positive it’s because it’s the only tool that I recommend that has a cost associated with it. To settle the score once and for all, I’m going to try and explain my opinion on why you need Article Architect if you want to make any serious money with your freelance writing.

Article Architect is a powerful and useful tool for article writers, and it’s features are beyond compare in the marketplace right now. Certainly, you could find other products which contain pieces of Article Architect’s functionality, but nothing that brings it together like this software does. So what does it do?

The most useful feature is the article writer itself. It works very similarly to Microsoft Word or a similar word-processor, except that it contains features that are specifically useful to article writers. The first is a word count utility that updates on-the-fly, so you can easily tell when you’ve gone over or under on words. Along with it’s word counter, it will update keyword density once you type past a certain point, which allows you to effectively control the findability of your articles. It also has a headline builder that can build you attractive and easy to find headlines for your articles.

Now, it also has a built in keyword finder. Suffice it to say, manual keyword research can take you forever, and most of the more powerful commercial keyword research tools are specifically geared towards people who want to pay to market their product. Article Architect will show you how to immediately find exploitable keywords that you can utilize in your articles to rank high in Google from the start. Do well there, and you’ll do well in the pageview bonus too, which is what it’s really all about anyways.

If you’re writing on a subject you don’t know too much about and you need to do a little research, Article Architect can do that too, by implementing a useful drag and drop research gathering tool. Thus, you can build yourself a body of knowledge and do a simple rewrite to generate new and authentic content. Alternatively, you can use this tool to find sites related to the content area you’re writing about, and hopefully find yourself some more useful keywords or information to write about.

Finally, you have at your disposal an incredible organizational system for your articles. You can track pageviews, profit from initial payments, and all of the other useful statistics from your articles with just the click of a button. You can sort articles by project or by subject, and you can export articles in an easy-to-store .txt format. So why do you need Article Architect? It’s a one-stop-shop for article writers. Unless you want to store hundreds of files on your computer full of keyword lists and possible topics for articles, or you can simply let the software do it for you, and in the process, you can guarantee results if you take account of the indicators.
