Setting up Article Architect's Submission Feature

Setting up Article Architect's submission feature is the most difficult thing to do with the software. You can get by without using it, relying only on the highlights and organizations to track where things were submitted, but many users find that using the article submitter tool is helpful because it helps you control and see at-a-glance which articles have been submitted where, without having to go back and forth.

Lets get one thing straight here: Article Archtect is not an article submission tool, it is an article organization and writing tool. With that said, you must recognize that it's features are not as powerful as, for instance, Article Marketer's submission tools, but they get the job done.

First, write your article, and make sure you fill in all of the boxes that the software provide so that you have everything ready for the submission step. Almost all article directories will require them all.

Once your articles are written, set up the software to submit to the directory. If it is a new directory, click on “directories” and then “new”. Fill out the name of the directory, as well as the user name, password and any other information about the site you choose to provide. For the URL, visit the site in a regular browser, click on the “Submit Article” link, and then copy and paste that into the URL field to make submission a little easier on yourself.

I'll run you through an example which should be helpful: setting up Article Architect's submission tool for Associated Content. First, create your new site, and name it “AC” or “Associated Content”, whichever you prefer. For User name, input the email address you use for signing in and your password. That part is straightforward. Now, for the URL, you could, hypothetically, set up Article Architect to go to Associated Content's homepage, but this will force you, in the future, to make a few extra steps every time you go to submit an article. I recommend instead that you input the following URL:

https://publish.associatedcontent.com/cms_edit.shtml

Now, when you decide to submit your article to AC, you will be taken directly to the submission page.

To submit an article to a directory, highlight your chosen article under the “articles” tab and right click. Choose the “submit to directory” button. A window will pop up letting you decide exactly where you want to submit your article, perfect for those authors who choose to submit their articles to many directories and websites. Once you choose a directory, a larger window will appear, with some buttons on the left, and the website on the right. To copy and paste from your article, simply use the buttons on the left. For instance, if you wanted to copy the title, click title on the left, move your cursor to the title field on the submission site, right-click, and choose paste. The title will appear. Use as many or as few of the fields as you need.

Once you are done with that step, whenever you look at the details of the article, you will notice that Article Architect has the submission date stored, and if you look at the directories tab, you will see that the directory to which you just submitted has been updated to reflect the newest submission.
